Care for your stove

A clean stove.
A better fire.

Ash and soot settle in the firebox and on accessible stove components over time. Professional cleaning gives your stove attentive care before the next heating season. If a component needs repair, you can describe the issue and attach photos with your inquiry.

Why stove cleaning?

Good reasons to give your stove some care.

Regular care removes accumulated deposits from agreed, accessible areas and makes it easier to spot visible wear. The right interval depends on your appliance, fuel and how often you use it.

01

A clearer view of the fire

A clean glass panel lets you enjoy the flames again and makes it easier to spot changes inside the firebox.

02

A clean path for combustion air

Soot and ash can build up around air inlets and baffles. Removing deposits helps the stove operate as designed.

03

Care before the heating season

A clean stove is more pleasant to use and gives you an opportunity to notice visible wear before the next season.

04

Repair support

If your stove is damaged or a component no longer works as it should, describe the symptoms. Photos and the rating plate help us understand the appliance before we respond.

Professional and personal

Care by someone who knows stoves.

Questions & answers

A few things to know.

Every stove is different. Send us a short description, and we can discuss the model, the work and the next step with you.

Why have a stove professionally cleaned?

Soot and ash can collect in areas that are awkward to reach during routine household cleaning, including around accessible air paths and baffles. Removing agreed deposits makes the appliance more pleasant to use and gives you a chance to notice visible wear. Cleaning does not replace statutory chimney sweep work.

How often should a wood-burning stove be cleaned?

There is no single interval for every stove. Manufacturer guidance, fuel quality, frequency of use and the amount of deposits all matter. If you are unsure, include the stove model and how often you use it in your message; Thomas Siedelmann can then discuss a suitable interval with you.

Can you also repair my stove?

Repair work can be requested through the same form. Describe the problem and attach a photo of the whole stove plus a clear photo of its rating plate. The details help identify the appliance and prepare a useful response. The required work and feasibility are assessed individually.

What does cleaning include?

We agree the scope with you in advance. The stove model and condition determine which accessible parts can be cleaned and how. Please let us know if there are damaged parts or other concerns so we can take them into account.
